In addition to being available to provide direct Ombuds services on an as needed basis, Deyo Ombuds Solutions, LLC can help you plan, create, implement, and evaluate your Ombuds program.
Principles
The organizational Ombuds is one of the most valuable tools that companies can use to reinforce a culture of ethics, integrity, and accountability. This role has been applied in academia, government, and industry to handle some of the most complex issues in a more constructive and effective way. In all sectors, ombuds have provided significant, positive impacts on institutions' systems, and are one of the few resources trusted at all levels of the organization. This is possible because of how the Ombuds operates and how it is structured:

Independence. Ombuds access all parts of the system to ensure critical support at all levels.
Impartial. Ombuds balance all needs and interests and play a constructive role in bridging differences.
Informal. Ombuds use interest-based approaches rather than compliance or rights-based methods.
Confidential. Communications with Ombuds are protected which helps start crucial dialogue.

Ombuds Solutions
Needs Assessment

Program Design
Once a decision has been made to launch an Ombuds program, we are available in preliminary stages to advise on recruitment strategies, draft foundational documents that outlines roles and responsibilities, prepare outreach briefings and materials, and broad communications and outreach plans.
Direct Ombuds Services
Designed for organizations with limited or targeted needs, we are available to provide professional Ombuds services on an as-needed basis. These services may include confidential discussions with individuals or listening sessions
for smaller work units.

With highly specialized expertise in conflict analysis and resolution, we have off-the-shelf training options that offers practical tools for addressing problems in a positive and productive way.
We also deliver customized, advanced continuing education training for a broad range of professionals, including specialized training for supervisors, managers, and executives.
Annual Reports
We will help your Ombuds office develop broad, non-attributable annual reports that describe the office's activities in a clear, concise and visually appealing way.
Program Consultation Review
By serving as an independent, outside expert, we will provide a check-up for your Ombuds office, including policies, procedures, and practices.
Our process involves assessing your program's alignment with it's intended goals and concludes with informal recommendations for program improvements.
